Montignoso is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Province of Massa and Carrara within the Tuscany region of Italy. It is located approximately 90 kilometres northwest of Florence and about 3 kilometres southeast of the city of Massa.
The town serves as a local administrative center in the northern portion of the province. Its geographic position places it in close proximity to the coastal areas and the industrial regions associated with the surrounding marble quarries of Carrara.
