Monterchi is a Comune (Municipality) located in the Province of Arezzo within the Tuscany region of Italy. It is situated approximately 80 kilometres southeast of Florence and about 20 kilometres east of Arezzo.
The town sits in the northern part of Valtiberina, a valley formed by the Tiber River as it flows from Emilia-Romagna toward Rome. This valley runs through the regions of Romagna, Tuscany, and Umbria, positioned parallel to the Casentino Valley.
