Montemurlo is a comune, or municipality, located in the Province of Prato within the Tuscany region of Italy. The town is situated approximately 8 kilometres (5 miles) northwest of Prato and about 25 kilometres (16 miles) northwest of Florence.
The municipality has a population of 19,059 inhabitants. It serves as a residential and administrative area within the Tuscan landscape, positioned in close proximity to the major urban centers of Prato and Florence.
