Montaione is a comune situated in the Metropolitan City of Florence within the Tuscany region of Italy. It is located approximately 35 kilometres, or about 22 miles, southwest of the city of Florence.
The municipality is recognized as one of the "Borghi più belli d'Italia," a designation identifying it as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
