Marina di Carrara

Carrara is a town and comune located in the Tuscany region of central Italy, within the province of Massa and Carrara. It is situated on the Carrione River, approximately 100 kilometres west-northwest of Florence.

The town is primarily notable for its white or blue-grey marble quarries. Its official motto, "Fortitudo mea in rota," refers to the region's long history of marble shipping dating back to Roman times.
