Lajatico is a comune, or municipality, located in the Province of Pisa within the Tuscany region of Italy. It is situated in a position that dominates both the conclusion of the Valdera valley and the beginning of the Val di Cecina valley.
The town is characterized by mainly hilly terrain with elevations ranging from 100 to 650 meters above sea level. Geographically, it lies approximately 50 kilometers southwest of Florence and about 40 kilometers southeast of Pisa.
