Gambassi Terme is a comune located in the Metropolitan City of Florence within the Tuscany region of Italy. It is situated approximately 35 kilometres (22 mi) southwest of the city of Florence.
The municipality derives its name from the Gambassi family, a branch of the Florentine nobility that has inhabited the area since the 1350s.
