Viagrande is a comune located in the Metropolitan City of Catania within the Italian region of Sicily. It is situated approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) north of Catania and about 224 kilometres (139 mi) southeast of Palermo.
The municipality is positioned near Mount Etna, which lies to its north by northwest at a distance of 18 kilometres (11 mi). While the volcano is nearby, the road leading to its summit is 72 kilometres (45 mi) long, requiring a drive of nearly two hours.
