Santa Lucia del Mela is a comune, or municipality, located in the Metropolitan City of Messina within the Italian region of Sicily. Geographically, it is situated approximately 170 kilometres (110 mi) east of Palermo and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) west of Messina.
The town is recognized as one of the largest comunes in the province of Messina. It serves as a significant administrative and residential area within the eastern portion of the island.
