Rosolini

Rosolini is a comune located in the Province of Syracuse in Sicily, southern Italy. Geographically, it is situated approximately 200 kilometres southeast of Palermo and about 40 kilometres southwest of Syracuse.

The area has historical roots as a settlement during the late Imperial Roman and Byzantine Empire eras, later becoming a town during feudal times. In the 15th century, Rosolini served as a fief of the Platamones. The current town was founded by the Moncadas in 1713.
