Palagonia is a comune located in the Metropolitan City of Catania within the Italian region of Sicily. It is situated approximately 150 kilometres southeast of Palermo and about 35 kilometres southwest of Catania.
The municipality shares borders with several neighboring areas, including Lentini, Militello in Val di Catania, Mineo, and Ramacca.
