Monreale is a town and comune situated in the Metropolitan City of Palermo within the region of Sicily, Southern Italy. It is positioned at an elevation of approximately 310 meters above sea level on the slope of Mount Caputo.
The town sits on a small promontory that overlooks the valley of Palermo, located roughly 7 kilometers to the south of the city center.
