Marineo is a comune, or municipality, located in the Metropolitan City of Palermo within the Italian region of Sicily. It is situated approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of the city of Palermo.
As of December 31, 2004, Marineo encompassed an area of 33.3 square kilometres (12.9 mi2) and had a recorded population of 6,885 residents.
