Ispica is a city and comune located in the southern region of Sicily, Italy. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres from Ragusa, 50 kilometres from Syracuse, and 90 kilometres from La Valletta on the coast of Malta.
While the territory has been colonized since the Bronze Age, the first documented mention of Ispica occurred in 1093. This initial record appeared in a list of churches and ecclesiastic departments compiled for administrative purposes.
