Castelmola is a comune located in the Province of Messina within the Italian region of Sicily. It is situated approximately 170 kilometres east of Palermo and about 40 kilometres southwest of Messina.
The municipality covers an area of 16.4 square kilometres and had a recorded population of 1,107 as of December 31, 2004. Castelmola is recognized as one of the "Borghi più belli d'Italia," which translates to the most beautiful villages in Italy.
