Biancavilla is a town and comune located in the Metropolitan City of Catania within the region of Sicily, southern Italy. It is situated approximately 32 kilometres (20 miles) northwest of the city of Catania, positioned between the towns of Adrano and S. Maria di Licodia.
The town is historically significant for its demographic heritage, having been founded and inhabited by the Arbëreshë community. This ethnic group consists of Albanian refugees who settled in various parts of Italy during the 15th century.
