Agira is a town and municipality (comune) located in the Province of Enna within the autonomous island region of Sicily, Italy. Situated in the mid-valley of the River Salso, the town is positioned approximately 35 kilometres away from the city of Enna.
The municipality has a population of 7,529 inhabitants. Historically, the location was known as San Filippo d'Argiriò until 1861, a name given in honor of Saint Philip of Agira.
