Semestene is a village and comune situated in the Metropolitan City of Sassari within the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. Geographically, it is located approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) southeast of the city of Sassari and about 140 kilometres (87 mi) north of Cagliari.
The municipality is a small rural community with a population of 127 inhabitants.
