Pozzomaggiore is a comune, or municipality, located in the Italian region of Sardinia. It is situated within the Metropolitan City of Sassari, positioned approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of Sassari and about 140 kilometres (87 mi) northwest of Cagliari.
As of December 31, 2004, the municipality covered an area of 79.4 square kilometres (30.7 mi2) with a recorded population of 2,871 residents.
