Orune is a town and comune situated in the Province of Nuoro within the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. It is located approximately 130 kilometres (81 mi) north of Cagliari and about 11 kilometres (7 mi) north of the city of Nuoro.
The municipality has a population of 2,022 inhabitants. As a local administrative center in Sardinia, it serves as a residential and civic hub for its surrounding area.
