Ortacesus is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Italian region of Sardinia. It is located within the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and is positioned approximately 35 kilometres (22 mi) north of the city of Cagliari.
The municipality is geographically included in the Trexenta traditional subregion. It serves as a local administrative division within the Sardinian landscape.
