Orosei is a town and comune located in the Province of Nuoro within the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. It is situated approximately 140 kilometres northeast of Cagliari and about 40 kilometres east of Nuoro.
The municipality has a population of 6,838 inhabitants. It serves as a local administrative center in the eastern portion of the island.
