Oristano is the capital and largest city of the Province of Oristano, located in the central-western part of the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. It is situated on the northern portion of the Campidano plain.
The city was officially established as the provincial capital on July 16, 1974. As of 2025, Oristano has a population of 30,007 and ranks as the seventh-largest city in Sardinia.
