Macomer is a town and comune located in the province of Nuoro within the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. As of current records, the municipality has a population of 8,948 inhabitants.
The town is geographically situated on the southern ascent to the Campeda plateau. It serves as a significant railway junction where narrow-gauge lines branch off from the main railroad line that runs between Nuoro to the east and Bosa to the west.
