Lunamatrona is a town and comune located in the Province of Medio Campidano within the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. It is situated in the inner Marmilla plain, approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north of Sanluri and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northwest of Cagliari.
The municipality has a population of 1,582 inhabitants. It serves as a local administrative center within its specific geographic region of the Sardinian interior.
