Lanusei is a town and comune located in the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. It serves as one of the two co-capitals of the Province of Ogliastra, sharing this administrative status with the nearby town of Tortolì.
The municipality is situated approximately 80 kilometres northeast of Cagliari and about 10 kilometres southwest of Tortolì. As of current records, Lanusei has a population of 4,881 inhabitants.
