Carloforte is a fishing and resort town as well as a comune (municipality) located in the province of Sulcis Iglesiente within the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. It is situated on Isola di San Pietro, which lies approximately 7 kilometres off the southwestern coast of mainland Sardinia.
The town has a population of 5,851 inhabitants and is recognized as one of the "Borghi più belli d'Italia" (the most beautiful villages in Italy). It serves as a notable destination for both maritime activities and tourism due to its coastal location.
