Bosa is a town and comune located in the province of Oristano within the Sardinia region of Italy. Situated on a small hill approximately 3 kilometres inland on the north bank of the Temo River, it is distinguished as the only town on the island of Sardinia built along a river.
The town maintains a population of around 8,000 people and possesses an urban character that differentiates it from other locations in the region. Recognized as one of the "Borghi più belli d'Italia," Bosa relies on agriculture and fishing for its economy, benefiting from the river valley near the coast which is surrounded by hills and highland plateaus.
