Ballao is a village and comune located in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari within the autonomous island region of Sardinia, Italy. It is situated approximately 45 kilometres (28 mi) northeast of the city of Cagliari.
The municipality is positioned in the Gerrei traditional subregion and has a population of 706 inhabitants.
