Trani is a seaport located in the Apulia region of Southern Italy. Situated on the Adriatic Sea, it is positioned approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) by railway west-northwest of Bari.
The city serves as one of the capital cities of the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani (BT).
