Sternatia is a small town and comune located in the province of Lecce within the Apulia region of southern Italy. It serves as a local administrative center for its surrounding area.

The town is notable for being one of the nine municipalities that comprise Grecìa Salentina. This cultural region is characterized by the preservation of the Griko dialect, a Greek-derived language still spoken by the local population.
