Montemesola is a town and comune located in the province of Taranto within the Apulia region of southeastern Italy. It serves as a local administrative center for its surrounding area.
Historically, Montemesola was established as an Arbëreshë settlement. While the community originally maintained the Albanian Greek Orthodox faith, the inhabitants eventually abandoned their religious traditions and assimilated into the local population over time.
