Locorotondo is a town and municipality located in the Metropolitan City of Bari within the Apulia region of southern Italy. Situated in the Valle d'Itria between Martina Franca and Alberobello, it serves as part of a green countryside characterized by whitewashed cone-roofed trulli houses.
The town is recognized as one of "I Borghi più belli d'Italia" and has received the Orange Flag from the Touring Club of Italy for its architectural harmony and pedestrian accessibility. It features an intricate network of narrow streets lined with historic buildings, notably those known as "Le Cummerse." These traditional dwellings are defined by their regular geometric shapes and sloping roofs constructed from two layers of limestone slabs; many have been renovated into scattered hotels for visitors.
