Casamassima is a town and comune located in the Metropolitan City of Bari within the Apulia region of southern Italy. It has a population of approximately 19,786 inhabitants and is situated inland from the Italian coastline.
Often referred to as "The Blue Town," Casamassima is primarily an agricultural hub focused on the production of wine, olives, and almonds. According to local legend, the settlement originated as a Roman encampment around the seventh and eighth centuries.
