Villanova Monferrato is a comune located in the Province of Alessandria within the Piedmont region of Italy. It is situated in the plain to the left of the Po river, positioned approximately 60 kilometres east of Turin, 30 kilometres northwest of Alessandria, and 17 kilometres south of Vercelli.
The municipality holds the distinction of being the most northerly comune in the Province of Alessandria. It shares borders with several neighboring municipalities, including Caresana, Motta de' Conti, Rive, and Stroppiana in the Province of Vercelli, as well as Balzola and Casale Monferrato in the Province of Alessandria.
