Vercelli is a city and comune located in the Province of Vercelli within the Piedmont region of northern Italy. It currently has a population of approximately 46,552 inhabitants.
The city is recognized as one of the oldest urban sites in northern Italy. According to most historians, it was founded around 600 BC.
