Stresa is a comune located in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. Situated on the shores of Lake Maggiore in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, the town has a population of approximately 4,600 residents.

The municipality is positioned roughly 90 kilometres (56 mi) northwest of Milan. It serves as a key location along road and rail routes leading to the Simplon Pass.
