Scopello is a comune located in the Valsesia region of the Italian Pennine Alps. Administratively, it falls within the Province of Vercelli in the Piedmont region of Italy.
The municipality covers an area of 18.62 square kilometres and features a significant elevation range between 640 and 1,930 metres above sea level. It derives its name from its primary center, the small town of Scopello, which is situated on the river Sesia at an elevation of 659 metres.
