Pinerolo is a town and comune located in the Metropolitan City of Turin within the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. It is situated on the river Chisone, approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) southwest of the city of Turin.
The geography of the area includes the Lemina torrent, which originates at the boundary between Pinerolo and San Pietro Val di Lemina.
