Mottalciata is a comune located in the Province of Biella within the Piedmont region of Italy. It is situated approximately 60 kilometres northeast of Turin and about 20 kilometres southeast of Biella.
As of December 31, 2004, the municipality covered an area of 18.5 square kilometres and had a population of 1,445 residents.
