Castagnito is a comune located in the Province of Cuneo within the Piedmont region of Italy. The municipality is situated approximately 45 kilometres southeast of Turin and about 60 kilometres northeast of Cuneo.
The town is part of the Roero historical region. It is also noted as the birthplace of Maria Teresa Merlo.
