Cannero Riviera is a comune located in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. It is situated within the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola and occupies an area of 14.46 square kilometres (5.58 mi2) with a population of 973 residents.
The settlement is positioned on the western shore of Lago Maggiore. Geographically, it lies approximately 130 kilometres (81 mi) northeast of Turin and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Verbania. It is also located at a similar distance from the Italian-speaking Swiss Canton of Ticino.
