Baveno is a town and comune located in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola within the Piedmont region of northern Italy. It is situated on the west shore of Lago Maggiore.
The town is positioned approximately 21 kilometres (13 mi) northwest of Arona by rail. It serves as a notable geographic point along the lake's western coastline.
