Ururi

Italy

Ururi is an Arbëreshë comune situated in the Province of Campobasso within the Molise region of Italy. It is located approximately 40 kilometres northeast of the city of Campobasso.

The settlement developed in the late 16th century after Albanian military captain Teodoro Crescia acquired a feud for an annual sum of 300 ducats in a depopulated area near Larino. Between the time of its inception and 1583, the town was repopulated by numerous Albanian families.
