Montecarotto is a comune located in the Province of Ancona within the Marche region of Italy. It is situated approximately 40 kilometres west of the city of Ancona and covers an area of 24.1 square kilometres. As of April 30, 2025, the municipality had a population of 1,855 residents.
The town is internationally recognized for hosting the annual Blackmoon festival. This event is a well-known gathering dedicated to goa and psytrance music.
