Montappone is a comune located in the Province of Fermo within the Marche region of Italy. It is situated approximately 50 kilometres south of Ancona and about 35 kilometres northwest of Ascoli Piceno.
The municipality is recognized as a significant center for hat production. As of December 31, 2004, Montappone had a population of 1,780 residents and covered an area of 10.4 square kilometres.
