Fano is a coastal city and comune located in the Marche region of central Italy. It is situated within the province of Pesaro and Urbino, positioned at the point where the Via Flaminia reaches the Adriatic Sea.
The city is located approximately 12 kilometres southeast of Pesaro. As of 2021, Fano has a population of roughly 59,000 residents, making it smaller than neighboring cities such as Ancona and Pesaro.
