Castelplanio is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Province of Ancona within the Marche region of Italy. It is located approximately 35 kilometres (22 mi) southwest of the city of Ancona.
The town serves as a local administrative center within its province, positioned in the central part of the Italian peninsula.
