Vergiate is a comune, or municipality, located in the Province of Varese within the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is situated approximately 45 kilometers (28 miles) northwest of Milan and about 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) southwest of the city of Varese.
As of December 31, 2018, the population of Vergiate was recorded at 8,716 residents.
