Varenna is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Italian region of Lombardy. It is located on the shores of Lake Como within the Province of Lecco.
The town is positioned approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) north of Milan and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northwest of the city of Lecco.
